Do you know that giving creates a miracle?
This time of year is a good time to remember to give and to support one another in any way possible.
It doesn’t have to be a physical gift or anything involving money. It can be the simple act of being there for your neighbor. Maybe checking in on an elderly friend to make sure they have everything they need. Even a phone call is appreciated to that lonely person who feels isolated.
We forget about this, during our own running around, especially as Christmas draws closer. I love this blog post by my dear friend Diane Johnson, Changing The Generosity Index about sharing what we can.
Generosity is after all that Christmas is all about right? The Ultimate gift was given by God to our world so many years ago. The gift of Christ that keeps us going through everything.
Let’s all take a moment to remember what Christmas is all about. It’s about forgiving, loving, grateful, and being more compassion towards people around us.
I hope we can keep that in mind while we are finishing up this beautiful holiday. Give thanks for all that we have and to spread that joy and comfort to all those around us.
Merry Christmas and God Bless!
Giving of ourselves really is an immense force of transformation. My sense is the coming year will see a deeper call for giving our true selves to our work and each other in ways not seen before. A very exciting year ahead indeed.
Lorraine
Yes I agree Lorraine! I think it’s going to be a great year. I am excited to see how it all unfolds!
Wonderful article. Giving of ourselves is caring. When we see the world is not about us and service to others then we allow our magic to spread joy onto the word.
Thanks Sam. It’s such a Win Win for everyone involved! Happy New Year!
So beautiful, so lovely and so true! Generosity counters entitlement, and gratitude counters deprivation. These two — generosity and gratitude — are the foundation of a transformed life. I’m living proof!
Love and magic,
Sue
Thanks Sue! I couldn’t agree more. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great New Years!
This lovely post reminds me of the song “Christmas Shoes” which never fails to put tears on my face. Giving, loving, presence – this IS what the holidays are all about 🙂
Hi Vironika! I couldn’t agree more. I can’t believe the holidays have come and gone so fast and here we are in 2014 already. Seems so surreal. I am so excited to see what this next year will bring us in all areas of our lives! I’m ready for some great connections, serious fun and amazing growth (not necessarily in that order 😉 !! Have a great weekend girl!
