I don’t know about you, but I’m always ready for some of that!

I’m excited my good friend Lisa Henneman, created this incredible recipe and was willing to share it here with you… my favorite people.

Sometimes life has a way of taking you on detours! Everything was going great in my life. I’d just moved to a place I’d always dreamed of, living a beachy life after a lifetime of cold and snow.

I’m a foodie and love to cook and create unique recipes for myself and others. Really it’s my passion!

Then my paradise collapsed. 

Things got ugly… A horrible skin issue started to take over my life. And I mean really take over! It started with my hands then spread everywhere. It negatively impacted my entire life.

I visited all kinds of doctors trying to figure it out and had numerous biopsies but western medicine wasn’t helping. I was put on steroids which whacked my whole system off physically, as well as emotionally.

After a lot of failures, I turned to alternative therapies. And then finally, I found a naturopath that had a different approach. She tested me for food allergies and I found out that I had over 20 food sensitivities!

I was crushed, as these foods were so common, including wheat, dairy, and eggs!

I love to cook and bake, so after a month of abstaining from anything baked, I was going crazy! I needed some YUM back in my life and some sweet YUM at that.

Putting the YUM back into my life!

So my quest to figure out a satisfying treat recipe was on and the birth of my first incredible brownie was created!

Everyone has raved about these treats, so I’m hoping it will help all of you with food restrictions.

Get ready to put the YUM back into your life!

Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan, Mind Blowing Brownies

Ingredients

1 cup Gluten Free Flour

1tsp baking soda

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 ¼ cup coconut nectar sweetener

1 tsp salt

1/2 cup + 2 Tbs coconut oil

1 cup unsweetened applesauce

1 tbs vanilla

½ cup dairy Free chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 8×8 glass dish

Mix dry ingredients well

Add melted oil, applesauce and vanilla and half of the chocolate chips.

Place in the greased 8X8 glass dish

Top with remaining chocolate chips (spread evenly)

Bake at 350 for 35 to 45 minutes

Check for doneness with the toothpick method: a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan should come out fairly clean. Let cool before cutting.
