Are you consciously putting intentions into the things you do?Â
I’m asking this because there is so much more than you could gain in life through your intentions.
This last week we had some friends go through a horrible event. Their son was in a ski accident and is still in ICU as I type this.
A friend of the family thought it would be a great community effort to knit a blanket for him.
My heart immediately jumped at this opportunity. I love to knit and to be able to give this gift was huge for me. I don’t knit just as a hobby though. Sure, it’s relaxing and a great way to de-stress but it goes deeper for me.
I use it as a way to deliver gifts with an even deeper purpose.
Put Love and Healing out there in everything you do.
My intention as I am knitting is to infuse my project with love and healing.
In this case, I am placing a very strong intention of healing into every fiber of this blanket. I am thinking about how our friend will walk in a healthy stride. I am seeing his face light up with a smile. I see him happy, healthy and strong.
You can add loving and healing intention to anything you do. It could be in your art, hobby or in a simple act of kindness.  I have a chef friend Silvia Bianco that puts the intention of feeling connected to others in her cooking. It is amazing how food tastes better and you feel incredible when it’s prepared this way.
Remember that saying, don’t eat when you’re angry? Well try adding a little love and see the absolute opposite happen.
There are many articles and videos on what our thoughts and intentions do.
Check Out The Flower Experiment
I just recently watched a video by Rebecca Cecilia Yip called The Flower Experiment.
This video is one of my favorites. It shows the changes in the flowers when negative and positive words are spoken to them daily. You’ve got to see it.

Dr. Masuru Emoto has done some amazing water and rice experiments along this line. Dr. Emoto is well known for his book -The Hidden Messages in Water.
He found that water that has been exposed to loving words turns into beautiful crystal-like shapes. In contrast, water exposed to negative words and thoughts look totally dull and ugly in many ways.
My friend Victor Schueller is conducting a similar experiment right now with rice.  I’m excited to see how this turns out. The more proof that our words and thoughts have this kind of power, the better! If you would like to follow his story here is the LINK
Loving Intention Brings Healing
I feel that by making a small effort to put the intention of love and gratitude into everything you do, it can bring amazing changes all around you.
But don’t forget about yourself. Make sure your thoughts and words you have going on internally are good as well. So many times our internal dialog is less than loving. We can be so harsh and judgmental of ourselves.
Remember those thoughts count too. They can heal or harm, it’s up to you to choose which ones you want to influence your life.
What you put out there in this vast universe, you WILL get back.
So please be mindful and place good intentions in all your thoughts and actions.
There is more power in that than you probably will ever know.
It is the beauty of life, Melissa. The balance – what we put in we get, maybe not from the same source but that really doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. When one door closes, another opens. The point is to open ourselves to the possibilities. Beautiful post!
Thanks Vidya,
I agree with you. Often it is so much better than what we put in 😉 I look at is a surprise gift and can’t wait to see what happens next. The possibilities are endless. Thanks for stopping by sweet lady 😉
Love that you’re infusing your knitting project with love Melissa. What a wonderful life everyone would experience if they would add this to everything throughout their days. I will add loving thoughts for your friends’ son. 🙂
Thanks Elle,
Yes to would be so great. He seems to be doing better everyday so I am praying for a full recovery. Thanks for adding him into your thoughts, that means a lot.
Melissa,
I’m sorry to hear about your friend’s son. What you’re doing is simply beautiful. Sending love and thoughts as well!

He is improving more everyday. I appreciate your being here 🙂
You are a sweet heart. Big love to you and your friend’s son.
Thanks Shann,
These kids, that our own kids hang with so much while they are growing up, really grab a piece of your heart. I just want the very best for them.
Hi Melissa,
What a loving way to help in healing! Love and good intentions heal faster…it gladdens my heart that I have met such a noble soul. I like your idea of knitting your prayers and positive thoughts into the fiber of that blanket. I hope your loving intentions reach your friends’s son faster.
Thanks for sharing the power of good thoughts and actions.
Thanks Balroop,
I appreciate you taking the time to visit. You are very sweet.
Hi Melissa,
It is truly a gift to have positive folks like you remind us of the enormous possibilities of the spoken word; and the thought behind it.
Thoughts have always acted as the root cause of all our personal and cultural circumstances, because thought is raw energy.Thought only changes form and appears as words.
No surprise that Dr Emoto’s experiments are startling people across the world.
The ancient eastern spiritual cultures had this thing already going.
They had chants called “mantras”,and all mantras had a ruling deity;which was essentially the energy behind the thought. And water was a common medium for energising with various mantras.
Words…….are nuclear in their impact.
Thanks Melissa
Mona
Thanks Mona,
I love your way of describing the power of our thoughts and words. It is so powerful and my hope is more and more people realize that everything they feel has an impact in some way. Thanks for being here 🙂
